Terms of Service

These terms are provided by MSHC Day Camp and are pending final legal review.

Parent / Guardian agreement

By registering a child with MSHC Day Camp, the parent/guardian agrees to the following:

1. If a child has violent or serious behavioural problems that were not disclosed at registration, the child will not be enrolled in subsequent weeks.
2. The person collecting the child must bring photo ID if they are listed as an emergency contact.
3. Parents are fully responsible for disclosing any food or substance allergy in advance; the camp is not liable for allergies that were not reported and recorded beforehand.
4. Parents must respect drop-off and pick-up times. Any pick-up after 5:00 PM incurs a late fee of $3 per minute.
5. Parents must inform staff of any injury the child sustained outside the camp's care, or any marks visible on the child, before handing the child over to the camp.
6. Parents must use appropriate language and positive communication with camp staff. Any violent or unlawful behaviour will be reported to the relevant authorities.
7. Parents must comply with all rules and conditions of MSHC Day Camp.

1. Acceptance of terms

By registering a child with MSHC 2026 Day Camp (the “Camp”), you agree to these terms on behalf of yourself and the child being registered. If you do not agree, please do not register.

2. Registration & payment

• Registration is per child, per week. Pricing is CAD $300 / week all-inclusive in CAD.
• Spots are confirmed only after payment is received. Payment is processed securely via Stripe.
• You agree the information you provide — including medical and emergency contact details — is accurate and current.

3. Refunds & cancellations

• 14+ days before week start: full refund.
• 7–13 days before week start: 50% refund.
• 0–6 days before week start: no refund, except for documented medical reasons.
• Refunds are processed to the original payment method within 10 business days.

4. Code of conduct

We expect every child at the Camp to treat staff, other children, and the facility with respect. Behaviour that endangers others — including physical aggression, repeated defiance of safety instructions, or destruction of property — may result in removal from the program without refund. We always communicate with parents before taking such steps where the situation allows.

5. Photo and video

Photo and video consent is a single Yes/No question answered once during registration that applies to your child(ren). If you answer No, we will not include your child in any imagery used for internal communication or marketing.

6. Medical authorization

By registering you authorize Camp staff to seek emergency medical treatment for your child if you cannot be reached. You agree that staff will not administer over-the-counter medications. Prescribed medications, including EpiPens, will only be administered according to a written Individual Action Plan completed during registration.

7. Limitation of liability

While we follow industry best practices for child safety, you acknowledge that participation in camp activities involves inherent risks (outdoor play, swimming). The Camp's liability for ordinary negligence is limited to the amount paid for the affected week.

8. Late pick-up

Pick-up is between 4:30 and 5:00 PM. Late pick-up after 5:00 PM is billed at $3 per minute and added to the family's account at the end of the week.

9. Changes to the program

We reserve the right to modify the schedule or adapt activities in response to weather, public health, or operational needs. Major changes are communicated to families as early as possible.

10. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario, Canada. Any dispute shall be resolved in the courts of Ontario.
